Geoff Duke was awarded an OBE after his fantastic career. He began his career on the Isle of Man in 1949 when he won the Clubmans TT and the Senior Manx Grand Prix. He won the Senior TT in 1950 and was victorious in an additional five TT races. In 1951 he won the 500cc and the 350cc World Championships, in addition to victories in the Junior and Senior TT races. He retained the Junior TT and the 350cc title in 1952 bringing glory to Norton, and joined the Italian Gilera factory in 1955 bringing them senior success. He retired ten years after the beginning of his career but he still lives on the Isle of Man now .
