The busiest time on the Isle of Man is a two week festival, the famous Isle of Man
Tourist Trophy Races. The original races, started by the RAC in 1904, were for motor cars
but three years later motor cycles were introduced.
No other sporting event ever has created more controversy
and interest than the TT Races in the Isle of Man. The TT course is one of the most
famous, most dangerous courses in the world and if you ever get the opportunity to visit
the Isle of Man to watch the races, you are in for a fantastic fortnight. The dates of TT
fortnight is the first two weeks of June.
I myself do not watch the actual races with as much interest
as I watch the bikers in their leathers ;o) but nethertheless, I cant get enough of
it, and staying at home during the TT festival would be criminal, if not totally insane.
There is nothing better than joining the crowd outside Bushys and soaking up the
atmosphere of the bike enthusiasts, watching the exhibitionists ride around naked ;o)
watching the police trying to calm everyone down, watching the displays on the
Promenade
. And I must admit, the beer tent is always guaranteed to provide just one
more reason for me to go down and join in :o)

Maybe one day I will buy myself some real leather trousers
as opposed to the fake ones I wear which cost me a tenner from M&S
(no not
S&M), and a proper jacket and get myself all geared up. But for now, or at least until
I get a pay-rise, I will have to make do with the ones I have :o(
(If anyone would like to buy me a Christmas prezzie, then
you now know what to get me ;o) )
or if you really want to push the boat out, a
little 125 for me to practice on would be much appreciated hehehe.
Anyway
a little bit of info on a few of the TT greats:
