Steve Hislop

Up

Steve HislopSteve Hislop is from Scotland and began his TT career in 1989 by winning three races in one week. He could have made a fourth win that week, only during the Junior TT he was involved in a crash while doing 130mph at Quarry Bends. Luckily he escaped this, with only God to thank.

Hislop has won eleven TTs, 1987 brought his first victory in the Formula Two event. In 1988 he won the Production Class B race. In 1989 he completely amazed the world with such a spectacular display of riding which has very rarely been seen in the history of the TT.

Hislop has been around the TT circuit faster than any other rider in TT history. His average speed in 1991 was 124.36 mph. However, this did not count as an official lap record as it was achieved during practice and not in race :o(

NB I would just like to inform everybody that I want to marry Steve Hislop.
