The greatest rider the TT has ever seen is Joey Dunlop. He has won more TT races ever in history than anybody else. He is from Ireland and there he is a national hero, and in the Isle of Man.

His success began in 1977 in the Jubilee Classic race. He won three TT races in the same week in 1977, (Senior, Junior and Formula One) and reproduced this performance in 1980, in exactly the same events.

He won five consecutive TT Formula One titles, which contributed to his MBE award in 1986, the New Years Honours List.
